To whom it way concern:

I am Ramón Matamoros San Vicente, this is my last year in my Teaching Training Degree in the
Centro Universitario Cardenal Cisneros (Universidad de Alcalá) and I am specialized in teaching
English as a foreign language in Primary education.

When I was at school, I was very bad at learning English and I got bad marks. However, thanks
to the videogames I bought, I started to be interested in this wonderful language. Some
videogames were not translated to my mother tongue (Spanish) so I had to learn by myself,
and this was something motivating for me. When I started the High School, my marks in
English started to improve thanks to videogames and other teachers who helped me and
motivated me a lot.

At the same time, when I was thirteen years old, I had the opportunity to become part of a
group of children who were selected to travel to Philadelphia, where I met people from
different countries such as Ireland, USA, Israel, UK or Liberia. All of them spoke English, so it
was a great opportunity to know new cultures and speak a lot of English.

Another aspect I would like to highlight is that during my first practices in a school, I met an
American Language Assistant and I became her friend. She shared her experience as a
language assistant and I was fascinated by the things she told me. In addition, I taught her
some tips and grammatical rules about Spanish to help her. That is why I would like to be an
assistant in UK or Ireland, because I think I have good skills to transmit my passion about
English and Spanish as well.

Thank you very much for your time and kind regards.
