Bhd., Kuching. SCOPE_OF WORKS’ The scope of works for the investigation include the fol- lowing : - (@) To drill nine boreholes on the Proposed site and carry out continuing sampling and rock coring. (®) Identify and describe the prevaling rock / soil of all strata as revealed. (c) To prepare a detailed report on the Site Investigation and Laboratory Tests FIELD INVESTIGATION f The field investigation works began on Sth October, 1993 and were completed on 20th December, 1993. Laboratory works were done on selected soil and rock samples. CONTINUING SAMPLE A 300mm long thin-walled sampling tube was used to collect the soil samples. The thin-walled sampling tube was instal- led and driven into the soil by drop hammer. ‘The soil sam- ples taken were then jacked out from the sampling tube us- ing a soil extruder, The soil samples collected were kept in the standard wooden box marked with depth from top to bo: ttom of the sampling. i ee
