Dear Mr.Alburger,

For my pride paper I will be researching the career path known as “Nuclear Physics” .
My reasoning for this is that I have been very passionate about physics for and have done some
on the side learning concerning physics for quite some time. Nuclear physics is a specialized
field of physics that focuses on interactions,processes, and reactions that take place within and
outside an atom’s nucleus. This of course requires knowledge of particle physics and some
knowledge of quantum physics. This however is part of the content I have researched on my own
time.

I will talk about the prerequisites for a proper education in nuclear physics, the different
fields related to it, what these fields do, jobs that involve nuclear physics, scientific
breakthroughs, and famous nuclear physicists.These will help highlight and display the different
reasons why I chose nuclear physics and why it is an important field.

My mentor will help me create my pride project. This will be the final product and goal
of this entire process. The paper itself is primarily for research and proof of concept for this
project.

I have read Pine Lake’s ethics guide and understand that plagiarism, either intentional or
unintentional, will result in a zero on my paper.
