Dear Principal

I have not taught in the same room as Shannon Victory but after meeting Shannon I felt compelled to
write her this reference.

At our wonderful school, many student teachers come through our doors to do Prac. I often say hello
and chat to them in the staff room, at assemblies, on duty and around the school generally. After
observing Shannon over time, on her Pracs, I’ve noticed her because she has been the ‘stand out’ of all
Prac students that we have had here in recent times.

Shannon has a gorgeous personality. She just exudes warmth and care and appears to have those
undefined, quieter, intuitive qualities that can’t be easily assessed or included on a university transcript.
She has shown she has the skills required to form positive relationships quickly. I know this because I
have watched in various contexts around our School, and have seen her interact with students, staff and
parents beautifully but professionally.

Children need teachers with joy in their hearts, that smile often, that have the ability to make them feel
good and to feel valued. Doing this seems to come naturally for Shannon. When you meet her you will
understand what I mean.
