Instructions for use
UNPACKING.
The enlarger should be unpacked os follows: The carton is opened at the top and
the long parcel taken out which contains double condenser, negative carrier end
film cups. Then the inside box is pulled out by the carlon handles so thal the en-
larger ts exposed. Loosen the screw (4) and wilhdraw the column which wos inverted
for purposes of despatch (see illustration 1).
ASSEMBLY
Fasten the column base (1) to the baseboard (2) using the 4 screws supplied. Tighten
Up fo an even pressure with the washers and auls below the base board. Now mount
tite main enlarger body on to the column base (1). The locking device (4) will hold
the enlarger at any desired height.
The enlarger hood should be fitted in ils lowest position and should be adjusted
verlicelly by means of the vertical adjustment (5). Should this not be sufficient, ad-
jusiment (3) can be dsed for further extension. The symmetrical film cups ore screwed
fon, one on each side of the enlarger hood.

Tline vollage is lower than lamp vollage, much longer exposure will be required;
inversely, 100 high @ line voltage will shorlen life of lamp or cause it to blew oul.
ADJUSTING THE LAMP
{illuste, 2). With right-hand thumb depress firmly chrome-plale handle (8) of lemp-
adjusting clamp (9), 50 that it may now be tilted, withdrawn or pulled beck. Relieving
thumb pressure will securely fix holder in desired position. By loosening small knurled
screw (10) cdjusting clamp (9) can be made fo slide upwards or downwards, thus

it again to be lightened. — Then, apparatus is plugged to line, To insert double con-
denser, clamp (9) is moved inlo ils uppermost position and condenser locking
springs (11) pushed back. When condenser is correctly seated, these locking

INSERTING PLATES.
To this end, upper gloss plate of ADANG carrier hes fo be unhooked by caretully
separating arms of frame holder. Replacement of AUDA negative carrier glasses is
clfectod by loosening the screws which will release the brackels of the glasies. We
Hrongly advise against the use of any glasses othar than our AUDA members (ave
fable in special packs) which we can supply from stock af any lime.
If great importance is attached to glassless enlarging from 13/024" and 21/1<31/s"
plates, our special URAN plate carriar (illus. 3) will be found most convenient, as

To do this, the negative carrier should be removed from the enlarger, Turn the
handle fo the right until il stops and inser! the single negative, emulsion downwards,
