Letter of Recommendation
To Whom It May Concei
Toriginally hired Jennifer Adams as a Recruiter Assistant in Human Resource Service Center (HSC) at
the University of Texas at Austin in May 2014.
Jennifer was first assigned to our Temporary Staffing unit (UTemps), where she quickly immersed herself
into the inter-workings of this very fast paced enterprise. A brand new electronic timekeeping system was
introduced to our temporary employees a month prior to Jennifer's arrival. Jennifer not only learned the
new system, but was able to assist her supervisor and co-worker on the efficiencies that can be gained |
through it. This helped reduce a two and a half-day payroll process down to a one day experience. j
Jennifer set up a monitoring system that not only tracked temporary employees’ timesheets, but also
allowed us to quickly notify them of any pending delinquent ones, which would cause a loss of a timely
paycheck,
‘An opening within another section of my organization became available and Jennifer applied and was
hired into a Human Resource Representative position with Employee Records and Onboarding. This
group handles all the on-boarding activities for the university to include criminal background checks,
employment eligibility verification (1-9) electronic system, timekeeping, review and approval of all
employee assignment actions, transfer in/out state service, and consultation to departmental contacts on
most human resource related processing, Jennifer has quickly grasped these set of diverse functions with
ease and with an air of confidence, Her work ethic is impeccable and she has become a subject matter
expert to many HR staff on campus.
Jennifer has become a very valuable member of my team and I would be sorry to see her leave the
University of Texas at Austin. She is pleasant, thoughtful, and genuinely cares about her fellow
coworkers.
Please feel free to contact me, if you have any questions,
Sincerely,
