As a matter of fact there are certain words or/and expressions that I feel that I cannot translate

into the Standard English either the culture or because it does not belong to the English world.

I also think that this words or phrases are a mixture of things which are not part of the cultures
of the English-speaking world and concepts or idioms not found in English.

For example, here in Ecuador, in Quito’s dialect it is common to say “¡Que bestia!” which is an
expression used to point that someone did something wrong and if we think about a
translation of it, we will get to the conclusion that there is not a translation for this expression.
Also there are words taken from the Ecuadorian native language, Quichua such as “carishina”
which does not have and translation just because that concept which is “a woman who is not
good at home activities like cooking” does not exists in the English-speaking culture.

The untranslatability indicates that culture has a big connection with the way we use language
and worldview since that every culture have its own costumes so it is probable not to have
certain concept in all the cultures around the world.
