Methodology

This experiment was done to be able to examine the relation of the color and wavelength of released light to the
elements which are being observed. This can be done with spectroscope, power supply and three spectrum tubes which
contain different gasses.

For procedure, connect the gas tube to the power supply and put the spectroscope in front of it (like the image of
the set- up above). Then turn on the circuit. Look through the eyepiece of the spectroscope to observe the line spectrum
that was formed (in our case, the instructor provided the data). From the data being observed, select the peaks of the
graph. From each peak find the highest intensity and record the corresponding wavelength and color. Repeat all the
steps with the other gases
