the last 20 years, are at the heart of a new global economy "driven by information-driven and
knowledge-driven technologies. The expansion of this new global economy has major
implications in the structure and purposes of educational institutions. Because the current
information period is continuously decreasing and the access to it is increasing exponentially,
the educational system can no longer focus on passing a rigid set of knowledge from the
instructor to the learner within a fixed period of time. According to Alvin Toffler, "the illiterate
of the 21st century will not be the one who can not read or write, but the one who can not learn
to unwrap and revive." The new curricular changes addressed in Romanian education must be
well harmonized to lead to higher performance in learning with students. A diversified
curriculum, by introducing digital information and amplifying new modern methods of
teaching-learning-evaluation, will inevitably give Romanian education the character of the
knowledge society in which it exists. Designing the content of school subjects without serious
analysis of their accessibility and addressing them superficially remains without positive
effects, and from the point of view of the musical education, the more will be the effects of a
supernatural.
