Competency Appraisal Program Coordinators and Deans’ Meeting with Dr. Ruby Serrano

The identified Competency Appraisal Coordinators from each board course department
were convened at the 2nd floor Audio-Visual Room to have a meeting with Dr. Ruby A. Serrano
- CTE Consultant, regarding the initiative to put up an add-on in-house review program to
enhance the capacity of students in taking the board exam. The meeting was attended by the
following college faculty;
1. Allan Magsipoc, CTE
2. Toshiba Sta. Rita, CCJE
3. Catherine Balasoto, BSSW
4. Ralph Conrad Panti, BSA
5. Lyndon Jabla, BSA
6. Abegail Grace Escobido, BSPsych
7. Roldan Suazo, BSCE
8. Catherine Suazo, Dean-CTE
Discussed during the meeting are the documents needed to establish the departmental CA
program including the proposal, Table of Specifications, Competency Map, list of students,
selection of lecturers, etc. Dr. Serrano emphasized the responsibilities of the CA Coordinators
and also shared the advantage and significance of having the Competency Appraisal Review
Program beginning on the students’ first year in college. The meeting adjourned after the
attendees agreed to have a follow up meeting on September 21, 2018 and submission of the
initial documents on the same date.
