We know that in all things God works for good with those who love him, those whom

he has called
according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)

Then Jesus began to teach his disciples: “The Son of Man must suffer much and be rejected by the
elders, the chief priests, and the teachers of the Law. He will be put to death, but three days later he will
rise to life. (Mark 8:31)

So Pilate asked him, “Are you a king, then?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. I was born and
came into the world for this one purpose, to speak about the truth. Whoever belongs to the truth listens
to me.” (Luke 18:37)

The LORD says, “It was my will that he should suffer; his death was a sacrifice to bring forgiveness. And
so he will see his descendants; he will live a long life, and through him my purpose will succeed.
(Isaiah 53:10)

You, Lord, give perfect peace


to those who keep their purpose firm
and put their trust in you.
Trust in the Lord forever;
he will always protect us.
(Isaiah 26:3-4)

Our purpose is to do what is right, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of others.
(2 Corinthians 8:21)

All things are done according to God’s plan and decision; and God chose us to be his own people in
union with Christ because of his own purpose, based on what he had decided from the very
beginning. (Ephesians 1:11)

You were chosen according to the purpose of God the Father and were made a holy people by his Spirit,
to obey Jesus Christ and be purified by his blood. May grace and peace be yours in full measure.
(1 Peter 1:2)

Exodus 20:1-7

Then God spoke all these words, saying, "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of
Egypt, out of the house of slavery. "You shall have no other gods before Me.

Deuteronomy 6:25

"It will be righteousness for us if we are careful to observe all this commandment before the LORD our
God, just as He commanded us.
