It gives me immense pleasure to note that Kendriya Vidyalaya
Thrissur is bringing out its library newsletter. The school library
offers learning services, books and resources that enable all
members of the school community to become critical thinkers
and effective users of information in all formats and media.The
newsletter explores the library services and activities .It plays a
vibrant role in the development of a culture that promotes wider
reading, motivated readers and learners for life Students have
every chance to learn to use the library well. I extend my best
wishes to the Librarian for bringing out the newsletter.

Its aim is to inculcate reading habits among the Children.The

basic purpose of a book review is to help readers decide
whether to read the book themselves. Students can submit the
book review online so that they can share ideas with more peo-
ple than their circle of friends. By publishing the reviews you
write, you can share your ideas about books with other readers
around the world.

The Battle of Labyrinth By Rick Riordan is the fourth series revolv-

ing around the demigod,Percy Jackson.Percy is a 14 year old who
is ready to begin a school year at a new school.During orientation
tour a disaster strikes and monster attack.After this orientation he
heads to Camp half blood where he learns about the Laby-
rinth.Maze was designed by Daedalus, is a part of King Minos pal-
ace in crete according to greek mythology.Annabeth is intrigued by
the Labyrinth and leads a quest which involves passage through
the lybrinth.Luke plans to use the Labyrinth to enter the heart of
camp to destroy it.Percy with Annabeth plans to stop luke and
army.Their aim was to find Daedalus. Kronos ’ s forces are
threatening Camp Half-Blood. To stop them, Percy Jackson
and his friends must survive a quest through the Labyrinth.
Will they succeed in their most thrilling and dangerous adven-
ture yet, or will their beloved camp fall to the enemy ?

CREATIVE CORNER

TITLE:A DREAM

A pleasant vision occurred when I was asleep.

I was wandering through the woods . The air was
fresh. Birds were singing. It was evening time. The
sun was sinking down the valley . Then I saw a beauti-
ful deer but on seeing me it turned to run away.
When I made some friendly sound, it looked back. I Bhavyashree T Praveen-

slowly advanced towards it . This time the deer did-
n’t run away. Instead , it stared at me as if reading my mind. Finally it
came and sniffed my fingers. Then the deer turned and took a few steps
and looked back at me. I knew it was calling me.The sun had already set.
Darkness was creeping into the woods. I Was walking with the deer. I was
not at all afraid of the wild animals. I was confident that the deer will take
care of me.
Suddenly I herd a big roar from very near. I woke up with a start.I looked
around. I couldn’t see the deer anywhere. Neither could I see a roaring
lion. I was in my bed and the alarm was ringing continuously!
