NIGHT LEARNING MENU 

Objectives: 
● 9th grade students will understand the major plot points, setting, character development, themes, and literary 
devices used in the novel ​Night​ by Elie Wiesel. 
● 9th grade students will be able to express written analysis and present their unique findings to peers using 
critical thinking and communication skills. 
 

Directions: C ​ reate your own meal by choosing three activities (1 Appetizer, 1 Entree, 1 Dessert) from this learning menu to complete. 
(After you finish each activity, check with Ms. Hefner before moving on to the next level). Each activity is worth 3​ 0 points​, and an 
additional ​10 points​ will be earned through writing a Final Reflection on what you learned while completing the Learning Menu
