Topic : Human Rights Violation in Rakhine State

This world is created by differences, we are created with different nations, ethnic,
and various colors of skin to be able know each other and complement each other. In
essence, we come from the same origin. Then, comes a human ideal about freedom,
equality and brotherhood (liberte, egalite, fraternite). In Qatar, 67.7% are Muslim, 13.8%
Christian, 13.8% Hindu and 3.1% Buddhist - other religions and beliefs 1.6%. Qatar is so
tolerant of adherents of other religions while Muslims living in non-Muslim majority
countries still get discriminatory treatment and are far from tolerant.
In Rakhine state, there is no tolerance of minorities especially to Muslims in
Rakhine, a humanitarian crisis that can no longer be tolerated. Human rights violations
occurred in Rakhine State in the form of forced eviction, mass killings, sexual violence and
persecution. The world should pay attention for this, because every human being has the
right to life and sexual violence is very intolerable. This corresponds to SDGs number 10
"reduced inequalities" and number 16 "peace, justice and strong institutions".
Understanding that issue of human right violation in Rakhine State, Qatar proposes 2
main solutions, which are:

1. Enhancing the amount of aid in the form of physical and non-physical assistance to
Rohingnya refugees and for countries around Rakhine state to accept and to open
themselves to the refugees until a peace agreement is reached.

2. Intensify the concern of member of the United Nations to press for an immediate
settlement to the Myanmar government for human rights violations in Rakhine State.
 Based on the above it is expected that problems in Rakhine state can be resolved
and the Rohingya get their rights, recognition of citizenship, can return to their home
territory and can live safely. The United Nations should keep watch over and guaranted
Rohingya to obtain its rights.
