Tendency toward engaging in political behavior

To understand how much the five individuals of the MetLife ALICO Insurance Company would
involve themselves in playing politics, they answered 20 questions regarding some situations and
thoughts related to politics and power. In each statement they either had to choose ‘mostly agree’
which is worth 1 points towards their political orientation score or had to choose ‘mostly disagree’
which is a null point. It is given on the guideline that if their score is 16 or above that would
indicate they are more likely to playing politics. It would also mean that they are power hungry.
And if their score is 5 or less it would suggest that they are not inclined towards politics nor power
hungry.

Findings and Analysis

The above table shows what they answered on the questionnaire. From that we collected the score
of the each individuals by which we can understand their inclination towards politics and power.

From Table-2 results of each individual described below-
Arifa- She has scored 5. Which indicates that she is not likely to involve herself in politics nor she
is a power hungry.
Rokshad- She has scored 9 which is the highest score. It indicates that she might involve herself
in politics moderately but not in a strong way.
Shahriar- He has scored 5. Which indicates that he is not likely to involve himself in politics nor
she is a power hungry.
Farzana- She has scored 3. Which indicates that she is not likely to involve herself in politics nor
she is a power hungry.
Shariar- He has scored 0. Which indicates that he is not likely to involve himself in politics atall.

Overview of the scores

It is really interesting to see that in a company like ‘Alico’ most of the employees avoid politics
based on our result of five individuals. The highest scorer was Rokshad (9). She is the only one
who might moderately involve herself in politics. But the rest of them either scored 5 or less.
Which means in their company most of them are not power seekers based on our results.
