Overview of the Justice System: Courts in Alberta (gov.ab.

There are three courts in Alberta, all constituted by provincial statute and administered by the
Minister of Justice:

The Court of Appeal of Alberta


The Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta
The Provincial Court of Alberta

The Supreme Court of Canada, although not constituted or administered provincially, is the court
of last appeal for courts of provincial jurisdiction.

The Federal Court, Tax Court and Military Courts are constituted by federal statute and
administered by the federal government.
