The Town of Brookline is seeking a mature graduate student with a focus on public
administration, public policy or urban planning/urban affairs to serve as an intern to help support
Brookline’s new Fiscal Policy Advisory Committee. This intern will serve as an informed
resource to the chair and members of the Committee, assisting in facilitating committee
discussion and activities that address the Committee’s charge (see attached). A financial stipend
is available for this assignment.
Main Responsibilities
Work with the Committee chair to develop a work plan that will allow the Committee to
effectively and efficiently discharge its responsibilities for the year
Work with the chair to develop agendas and conduct effective Committee meetings
Provide administrative support for planning and execution of all Committee meetings
Draft minutes of Committee meetings
Where appropriate, assist the committee in researching issues and proposing policies that
will further the goals and objectives of the Town
Assist the Committee in drafting reports or other materials
