Circular Date: 07 November 2018 Circular No.: SAA/CHM/CIR/18/0033 To: All Airlines Subject : Implementing Baggage Policy In line with our efforts to enhance the airport and airline operation efficiency and further to the request from airlines, kindly be informed that Sharjah Airport will implement a Baggage Policy effective 04/12/2018. ‘Any baggage which does not adhere to this policy from this date will no longer be accepted at check-in (either at Sharjah Airport or at an off-airport check-in facility). ‘An awareness campaign has been launched in through leaflets and placards etc., on the check- in counters to provide information to. the passengers at Sharjah Airport. Please see attached a picture which will be part of this campaign. As such, effective 04/12/2018 Sharjah Airport reserves the right to refuse accepting any non- compliant baggage at the point of check-in, either directly or via Sharjah Aviation Services (SAS) the official handling agent at Sharjah Airport.
