GROUP 1:

Before starting I want you to write on your worksheet if you predict


that this water resource can be used, consumed or not just by the
looks of it, and which water resource that it might come from
(freshwater, or saltwater).

Prediction:

DIRECTIONS:
There is a bowl of water with contents in it, students have a filter
and another container. Pour water with contents into filter. Write
down observations on worksheet on whether you think that once
the water is filtered, if we could consume it.
1. What happens to contents that were in original water
container?

2. What does water look like after it is filtered?

3. Does it look consumable?

4. Is this saltwater or freshwater? Why?


GROUP 2:

and which water resource that it might come from (freshwater, or

DIRECTIONS: You have a big cup of water, there are 5 balls


each person should have 1. At the same time all group members
place the balls in the water..

2. Why do you think they did this?

3. Is this water consumable?

4. Is this freshwater or saltwater? Why?

coloring. First put ice cube in water, then one person from group
put 2 drops of food coloring onto ice cube.

2. Why do you think it does this?
