GENERAL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

Dear coaches and managers,

We are very excited about our up-coming tournament and looking forward to welcoming you all. Rugby is thriving
in Malaysia and we thank you all for supporting rugby development and COBRA. Kindly take note of important
messages below.

INSURANCE: Kindly take note that EACH team is required to take their own insurance and that we, the organizers,
only cover with a Public Liability Insurance. Medical teams are present and covering each field (1 age group per field)
and there is 1 main HQ for the doctors. All the first aiders are trained in First Aid in Rugby, so please allow them to
do their job.

CONDUCT: Kindly advise all players, coaches, supporters and parents that bad conduct i.e. foul language, disrespect
to other players, parents, supporter, organizers, helpers as well as bad sportsman ship, irresponsible behavior,
breaking of the rules, can result in not only the individual being requested to leave the tournament but the WHOLE
team/School/Club with immediate effect. The final decision lies with the Tournament Director.

Please also notice that if the medical team deems a player unfit to continue in the tournament, the referees will RED
card the player in mention for the rest of the tournament and in some cases the whole team can be disqualified if
found using a player against medical advice. We take concussions and other injuries very seriously. Please note this
is a junior rugby tournament and not the World Cup.

RULES: Please refer to the attachment on rules.

REGISTRATION: Kindly fill in the registration form and bring a HARDCOPY as well as photo ID of each player.
Registration is at the Secretariat and the team will be ready by 7am. All teams must have completed registration by
7.30am. Please note the additional request for School Teams and players without photo ID. Teams are requested to
register with the Pitch Marshall 30min prior to their first match. All copies of the ID etc can be collected from the
Secretariat after the teams final match.
WATER & ICE: Each team will be given 1 box of water (collect from Secretariat). Ice is made available to purchase
direct from the ice lorry at reasonable cost.

FOOD & BEVERAGES: COBRA will have a bbq stall selling good variations of food and drinks at fair prices. Over and
above we will also have coffee, tea, ice cream, and other foods being sold from food trucks.

PRE-ORDERED MEALS: Teams wishing to pre-order lunch packs, please see the options below and kindly e-mail to
racmont@hotmail.com along with the copy of the payment advise slip. The meals are;

Please take note that the location is SUNGAI BULOH and not Jalan Ampang.

The location is famously known as Padang Bola E, RRI Sungai Buloh. (on waze this appears as Shah Alam but it is
Sungai Buloh). There is a BIG sign saying “Kwasaland” that is the landmark for turning in.

Coming from KL there is a turning BEFORE the Sungai Buloh Hospital AND its behind HELP International School. Please
try to locate this before Saturday 17th and should you have any questions, please message me before then. On the
day I will not be able to help you and we need to start on time please. Please ensure ample travelling time and be
ready for first kick-off at 7.45am. Location will also be shared in the Whatsapp group.

PARKING: There is ample of parking space. Please follow the guidelines by the RELA staff and park considerately.
Their job is to ensure that there is always a clear passage should it be necessary for the ambulance to move out. Any
cars found to be blocking emergency route will be towed at the expense of the owner of the car.

SCHEDULE: KICK-OFF for ALL age groups is 7.45am. To avoid confusion the Schedule will only be shared with all
teams a few days before the event as there are always changes. We will share the overall group list below, but please
be informed that changes can still take place.

We are looking forward to a great day of junior rugby. Remember to have fun, play fair and play safe. Be kind to all
the volunteers, who are there to ensure that we are able to run the tournament for your benefit. Show respect to
the referees, team members, fellow coaches and supporters, keep the fields clear of rubbish and let’s watch some
great rugby. The values of the sport and the camaraderie amongst teams are KEY – let’s not lose focus. Remember
this is junior rugby and not the World Cup!
