Cosmic Education

 2nd plane children are sensitive to the acquisition of culture. Culture which means
global human culture.
 We give the children, we offer the universe. We give the universe the only thing large
enough for the potential of the child.
 We give guide the world. The older the child, we must not just give the world but also
the cosmos. And how these cosmos act. The child is an untap cosmic energy which has
the potential to bring change in the world.

Cosmic Education
 Etymology of cosmos and cosmic.
 There is order in the universe.
 How is this related to me? What will happen next when I participate in the universe?
 Cosmic Education: Dr. Montessori’s plan for the children in the second plane of
development, based on their needs, tendencies, and characteristics.
 The prepared adult executes the plan, the cosmic education.

The Scope of Cosmic Education

- Universe is the unifying theme.


- Sowing the seeds. Offering the keys. This is why we tell the Great Stories. Then we allow
them to explore the environment and explore the information they get through their
interests.
- Limits (on curricula) in conventional schools vs. limiting our presentation to the keys or
seeds. Note: Do not tell everything you know.

Cosmic task means by meeting your need, you are contributing to the whole.

The Outcomes of Cosmic Education

Develop free will of children

The child is having the love for philosophy; love for knowledge.

It is way of interacting with children. It is not just a curricula or a framework.
