Subject : Guidelines for counting of past service for promotion from Reader to
Professor under Career Advancement Scheme.

Dear Sir/Madam,

In continuation to this office letter number F.3-1/2000 (PS) dated 4th April, 2000 and
F.1-6/98 (PS) dated 24.4.2000 vide which the UGC Regulations on minimum
qualifications for appointment for Career Advancement of Lecturers, Readers and
Professors in Universities and Colleges were issued, it is to inform you that the Ph.D.
degree holders whose examinations were completed by 19th September, 1991
(irrespective of date of declaration of results) shall be eligible for relaxation of 5% of
marks from 55% to 50% to appear in Net.

This may also be brought to the colleges affiliated to your University.
