Reflective Essay

This semester in English Composition 1 I have learned various formats to write essays and it has

helped me in class as well as in my personal life. I also learned about various types of essay. I

learned how to write argumentative, compare and contrast, and narrative essays. This essay

reflects my growth as a writer. I can say that I have improved a lot in grammar. I feel more

equipped to write essays for any future classes or just for the fun of it. The criticism I have

received from my classmates as well as from the professor have allowed me to have a more open

mind to others opinions. Also to view both side in order to have common ground. One thing that

I have improved in English Composition is getting work done and not procrastinating. “I am my
