I am writing to apply for employment at Children’s of Alabama. I believe that I

will be of great value to your team because of my education and experiences in
nursing and early childhood education field. I am specifically interested in
becoming part of the team at the main campus. During my nurse externship this
past summer, I worked with nurses at Baptist Medical Center South in different
units including a pediatric medical-surgical floor, emergency department, and
surgical intensive care unit. Working with the nurses at this hospital helped me
become more proficient with my nursing skills and more confident that I want to
be a pediatric nurse.

I am inspired by the mission of Children’s of Alabama to provide the finest

pediatric health services to all children in an environment that fosters excellence
in research and medical education. I also love that Children’s is an advocate for
all children and strive toward educating the public about issues affecting children.
I am passionate about improving the lives of children and empowering families to
feel confident in taking care of their children. I want to become part of the team at
your hospital to help make a difference in the lives of children, especially in such
a vulnerable time in their lives.
