How much information is generated in the world

every minute?

Currently, the 90% of data has been generated just in the last two years. Our
present information production is approximated to 20 billion gigabytes, so the world is
becoming more connected day by day with an increasing number of electronic
devices that will be augmented in the next years.

Domo (Digital Storage Company) has launched its fifth annual info-graphic
which analyses world data production and online performance called ‘’The
information never stops 5.0”. Internet population had been increased in a 7, 5% since
2016 entirely, and nowadays it includes more than 3.7 billion users. In terms of data
use, it would correspond, for example, a total chaos measuring it to the entire galaxy.
On average, United States releases 2.657.700 internet data gigabytes per minute.

Platforms and internet based media services development are living their
best lives, but not all of them. Amazon, YouTube and Netflix are some of the biggest
broadband users, while Amazon enjoys the record incomes (around $178.809.879
per minute) and YouTube (users are making) is doing more streaming than ever (4.14
million videos seen per minute), Netflix had registered a 20% decrease in the number
of hours per minute in the consumed programming compared to 2016.

Although, as a society, we spend all day on the computer or cellphone, we

still keep the habit of asking the time. The time channel website has received a huge
amount of requests, around 18 million, demanding a 22% increase on the previous
report.
