Evaluations are due in June for two
employee groups:
AFSCME union employees need their end-of-
term evaluations completed by June 30, 2018
Non-union employees need their midterm
evaluations completed by June 1, 2018
AFSCME Union End-of-Term Evaluations
The first full annual evaluation cycle for AFSCME union
employees, since the transition to a common
evaluation date, is quickly coming to an end. These
employees need their end-of-term evaluation
completed in the e-performance system by June 30,
2018. End-of-term evaluations encompass the
employee’s performance for the entire annual cycle
and can provide great insight to both the supervisor
and employee. As a friendly reminder, AFSCME union
employee end-of-term evaluations are due to be
completed on June 30, 2018 for all union employees
not in a probationary status.
Helpful tips and reminders for completing
the end-of-term evaluations for AFSCME
employees:
Please ensure the correct evaluation cycle dates (July 1,
2017 to June 30, 2018) are noted on the first page of the
evaluation.
Please ensure that the end-of-term box is checked on
the first page of the evaluation.
Do not complete an evaluation for an employee
currently on probation at this time, stay with their
probationary evaluation cycle.
Do not check the special evaluation box on the first page.

Non-Union Midterm Evaluations

Midterm evaluations are an opportunity for supervisors to formally review their Classified
employees’ progress, reset priorities and to discover what additional support employees may
need in order to better execute their duties. For employees, it provides them a snapshot of their
progress and provides them ample time to make any adjustments needed before their end-of-
term evaluation is due. As a friendly reminder, non-union employee midterm evaluations are due
to be completed on June 1, 2018.

Helpful tips and reminders for completing the end-of-term evaluations for AFSCME employees:

Please ensure the correct evaluation cycle dates (December 1, 2017 to November 30, 2018)
are noted on the first page of the evaluation.
Please ensure that the midterm box is checked on the first page of the evaluation.
Do not complete an evaluation for an employee currently on probation at this time, stay
with their probationary evaluation cycle.
Do not check the special evaluation box on the first page.
