1. The morality of using the death penalty as a form of capital punishment has become relevant
due to the urge to find justice within injustice and the increased number of innocent/poor people
being killed.

The thesis states both sides of the argument in an unbiased way.

2. Paragraph two describes both sides of the argument in depth and shows evidence for each side.

3. I believe all have topic sentences.

4. I am not quite sure what your sources are because of the lack of citations, but they seem to be
good sources.

5. Yes, good choice

6. There is no source for the graph, but it does relate well to the paragraph. It does seem to be in
an odd position.

7. No works cited page

8. (Those who support the death penalty claim that states enforcing capital punishment have
lower crime rates, and deter people from commiting more heinous crimes.) This was proven in a
study carried out by Michael Summers, a Professor of Management Science at Pepperdine
University. By closely examining publicly available FBI sources, Summers was able to conclude
that “each execution carried out is correlated with about 74 fewer murders the following
year”(Summers). Despite the numerous studies and data to back up the correlation between
increased execution numbers and the decreasing crime rates, the opposing viewpoint believes
there is no evidence to support that crimes rates have decreased due to capital punishment. No
clear analysis of information.

9. The report doesn't seem to have a clear organization system as described in class. The report
does have sufficient information though.

10. Very unbiased

11. none
12. There is not much of a conclusion. It is hard to get anything from a mere two sentences.

13. 1) Make the organization more clear 2) A stronger conclusion
