Background: This study aims to determine the relationship between ABO blood group and the

occurrence of thrombotic stroke. Methods: This research used cross sectional approach. The subjects of
this study were patients aged 40-80 years diagnosed thrombotic stroke. Samples were taken by
purposive sampling technique of 60 people. Data was presented in table and analyzed using Chi-square
test. Results: Based on the result of the Chi-square test, p = 0.071) (p < 0.05). Conclusion: There is no
relation between ABO blood group and the occurrence of thrombotic stroke.
