Objective: The purpose of this assessment is to assess students’ ability to write research paper.
Instructions:
1. This assignment is to be carried out in groups of 3-4.
2. Decide on a topic or area of your interest. 3. Read about 10 relevant articles of the chosen topic 4. Narrow down the scope of your topic by formulating a research question. 5. Search and read about 15-20 relevant articles. 6. Look for articles from the Internet, academic books, journals, magazines, newspapers, quranic verses, etc to support each of the body paragraph. However, make sure your sources have credibility. Do not forget to record the references that you use. 7. Write a research paper to answer your research question based on the 15-20 articles that you have read. 8. Use (Gaya USIM) documentation system. 9. The research paper must have a cover. Details to be included in the cover: research question, name, matric number, group and lecturer’s name. 10. Three main parts to be included in the research paper: Introduction, body and conclusion. The introduction must provide some background information about your topic and clearly state your thesis statement. 11. The length of the research paper should be between 8 – 10 pages including the references.
