Analysis

To start off with this portrait, there is a girl leaning over a cannon and she seems to be

happy. The focus point is this girl, who seems to be in the army. She has a suit that people in the

army wear and she’s leaning over a cannon. Her face expression shows that she is happy and

proud. This portrait is a black and white photo, which can tell a viewer that she may have been

one of the first women to be in war since, black and white photos were the first to come out. An

object is the cannon, which was used in the first wars. As for the setting, the photo seems to be

taken in a war field. This is because there is grass and a tree and cannons that were mainly on

battle fields. To sum up, viewers can predict that this lady was one of the first to join the army.
