Techniques REDDIVARI SAI SARAN G01142501 EAP-507 According to the world health organization(WHO), around 17.7 million people die each year from heart disease that is almost 31% of the world population [1]. The heart disease occurs at all ages for the people. Most of the women are affected by the heart disease than the men. The article of the author wants to tell us about how the heart diseases can be predicted by using different data mining techniques. The prediction of heart disease is one of the significant challenges in the healthcare industry [2], although there was a vast increase of the heart disease in the world the author wants to use different data mining techniques to diagnosis the heart disease [2]. This article helps us to analyze various data mining tools and some of the techniques in the healthcare domain [2]. The data mining techniques help a lot in predicting the heart disease system. The primary purpose of this article to give the detect the heart disease status of the patient. For predicting the heart disease, the author used three kinds of data mining techniques namely Decision tree, Naïve Bayes, and Neutral networks [2]. The author explained and shown how the process takes place in each technique. The author offers a new technique called hybridization [2] to get accurate data to predict the heart disease. In hybridization, the output of each algorithm is combined and compared to get the accurate results in the diagnosis of heart disease. The accuracy of the algorithm used in each technique can be enhanced by using the hybridization by combining at least one or two of the algorithms [2]. The single algorithm makes the classification of the dataset weak. For the quicker and more precise decision, we have to use the hybridization technique.
