I enjoyed Joyas Valadoras.

I liked how interesting facts were used as a

structure that lead up to a highly emotional ending. The ending kind of took I me

by surprise. I wasn’t sure what the author was leading up to until the end, so I

had to read the essay a couple more times to fully understand why he wrote the

way he did. I also liked the way the author structured his sentences to match that

of a slow heartbeat or that of a fast heartbeat.
