Dear Dr. Honavar,
 
My name is Razie Hyria and I am a undergraduate computer engineering student at Penn State University.
Currently, I am working on a research paper driven by the ques on "How can we advance ar ficial intelligence
and neural networking, and thus its reliability, as it is being integrated into more modern age technology?". I am
reaching out to you because I would greatly appreciate a chance to be mentored by you as I con nue this
research. I read some of your papers on construc ve neural‑network learning algorithms and the advances in
ar ficial intelligence as I formed my annotated bibliography. Those papers helped me discover your shared similar
research interest within ar ficial intelligence and machine learning. 
 
To work under somebody with such exper se in this field of study would be a great privilege. This research project
is a great way for me to gain experience, earn credits, and grow not only as a student, but as an engineer. I will be
ready to present this project by December of 2019, but un l then I work towards it roughly 10‑12 hours a week. 
 
I understand you are currently in the process of working towards some more of your own publica ons, so I
hope January 15th 2019 is enough  me for you to consider your decision and get back to me. Again, feel free to
take your  me deciding, and I completely understand if you are unable to mentor me at this  me. I appreciate
the  me you took out of your busy day to read this and considered becoming my mentor.
