I. Class: Third grade class, 26 students. 3 learning disabled, 4 gifted, 5 ESL.
II. Subject: Math. Skill: Single digit multiplication. III. Objective: Students will be able to solve 10 multiplication problems on a worksheet in 10 minutes with 85% or more accuracy. IV. Procedures: Spend 20 minutes reviewing single digit multiplication. Call on various students to come solve them on the board. After the 20 minutes is up, students will be given work- sheet. V. Materials: Timer to keep time during lesson. Dry erase marker and eraser for work on the board. Multiplication worksheet. Students need pencils for worksheet. (All supplies in “math cabinet” decorated with numbers to the left of my desk.) VI. Grouping Structures: The review will be taught to the whole class. The worksheets will be completed by each individual student. VII. Modifications: Learning Disabled students will be expected to achieve 50% accuracy on the worksheet. Gifted students (as well as any other students who want to) will be able to com- plete bonus problems on the back of the worksheet for 1 point extra credit. There are no mod- ifications on this lesson for ESL students. VIII. Assessment: Students will complete a 10 problem multiplication worksheet in 10 minutes.
