For this research, we are using a simple random sampling method to collect data and information

regarding zakat employment. this method is the basic sampling technique where we select a group of
subject (a sample) for study from a larger group (a population).

Each individual is choose entirely by chance and each person in of the population has an equal chance
of being selected in the sample. We have choose this method because this is the purest and the most
straightforward probability sampling strategy.

For this survey, we have distributed almost 90 set of questionnaire and we only got 70 set of
questionnaire in return. However 6 of 70 set of questionnaire is incomplete and it will considered as
unusable set.

The 90 set of questionnaire was distributed among 90 random people in Malaysia by post and by
hand for various range of age from 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, and 35 and above.

However, we are decided to take only 40 respondents randomly which age from 25 and above as
representative sample.

In the questionnaire, we using a scale as a choice for the respondents to answer. The scale is from 1
(strongly disagree) to 10 (strongly agree)

Profile of respondents

Based our finding, almost 58% of female respondents and 42% of male respondents is representation
of the gender. This survey also shown us about 22.5% respondent range in age from 25-29, 37.5%
respondent range in age from 30-34 and 40% respondent range in age 35 and above.

Based our graph, 80% of respondent work with government sector, 15% of respondent work with
private sector, and 5% work with other sector.

Most of our respondent’s salary range from RM1000 – RM3999.

The total 40 of set questionnaire were collected, representing 7 geographical distinct state which is
most of the respondent are from Selangor(60%).
