In the absence of such a designation, the compressor is not considered os copable of preducing air of breathing quality. For @ compressor to be capable of use in breathing air services, it must be fitted with additional specialized equipment to properly filter andlor purify the air to meet all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations and codes, such as, but not limited to, OSHA 29 CFR 1910. 134, Compressed Gas Association Commodity Specification G-7.1-1966, Grade D Breathing Air, and/or Canadian Standards Association. Should the Purchaser ‘and/or User fail to add such specialized equipment and proceeds to use the compressor for breathing air service, the Purchaser/User assumes all liability resulting therefrom without any responsibility or liability being assumed by Ingersoll-Rand Company. The Purchaser is urged to include the above provision in eny agreement for any resale of this compressor. sorte vs @ingersoll-Rand 1988 Safety Warnings - Page 0-1 WARNING TAMPERING WITH NOISE CONTROL SYSTEM PROHIBITED Federal law prohibits the following acts or the causing thereof: (2) The removal or rendering inoperative by any persons, other than for purposes of maintenance, repair, or replacement, of any device or element of design incorporated into any new compressor for the purpose of noise control pricr to its sale or delivery to the ultimate purchaser or while it is in (2) the use of the compressor after such device or element of design use; or has been removed or rendered inoperative by any person. Among those acts included in the prohibition against tampering are the acts Listed below. (2) Removal or rendering inoperative any of the following: a. the engine exhaust system or parts thereof b. the air intake system or parts thereof, c. enclosure or parts thereof (2) Removal of any of the following: a. fan shroud b. vibration mounts ¢. sound absorption material (3) Operation of the compressor with any of the enclosure doors open. A BATTERY CONTAINS SULFURIC ACID AND CAN GIVE OFF GASES WHICH ARE CORROSIVE AND POTENTIALLY EXPLO- SIVE. AVOID CONTACT WITH SKIN, EYES AND CLOTHING. IN CASE OF CONTACT, FLUSH AREA IMMEDIATELY WITH WATER. EXERCISE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN USING BOOSTER BATTERY. TO JUMP BATTERY, CONNECT ENDS OF ORE BOOSTER CABLE TO THE POSITIVE (+) TERMINAL OF EACH BATTERY. CONNECT ONE END OF OTHER CABLE TO THE NEGA- TIVE (-) TERMINAL OF THE BOOSTER EATTERY AND OTHER END TO A GROUND CONNECTION AWAY FROM DEAD EATTERY (TO AVOID A SPARK OCCURRING NEAR ANY EXPLOSIVE GASES THAT MAY BE PRESENT). AFTER STARTING UNIT, ALWAYS DISCONNECT = CABLES.
