Introduction

As many as 20% of children in the United States live in poverty and many other children around
the world face other issues pertaining to their rights being violated. Children’s rights are there to protect
the child and make sure that they grow up into an adult. If these rights are violated a child, who is still
developing quite a bit both mentally and physically, could be harmed. In the novel Ender’s Game, we see
how messing with a child could affect them for their life. The human rights issue presented in Orson
Scott Card’s Ender’s Game is the violation of children’s right and it relates to the real world because
many children suffer from violation of their rights in many ways, environments, and countries.
