FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

Exemptions

Mindray's obligation or liability under this warranty does not include any transportation or
other charges or liability for direct, indirect or consequential damages or delay resulting from
the improper use or application of the product or the use of parts or accessories not approved
by Mindray or repairs by people other than Mindray authorized personnel.

This warranty shall not extend to:

any Mindray product which has been subjected to misuse, negligence or accident;
any Mindray product from which Mindray's original serial number tag or product
identification markings have been altered or removed;
any product of any other manufacturer.

Return Policy

Return Procedure

In the event that it becomes necessary to return this product or part of this product to Mindray,
the following procedure should be followed:
1. Obtain return authorization: Contact the Mindray Service Department and obtain a
Customer Service Authorization (Mindray) number. The Mindray number must appear on
the outside of the shipping container. Returned shipments will not be accepted if the
Mindray number is not clearly visible. Please provide the model number, serial number,
and a brief description of the reason for return.

2. Freight policy: The customer is responsible for freight charges when this product is
shipped to Mindray for service (this includes customs charges).

3. Return address: Please send the part(s) or equipment to the address offered by

Customer Service department

I. Overview

1. System Description:

The MR-96 Microplate Reader is an 8-channel optical measuring system, which can be used

to measure the density of vertical light. It is a specialized analyzer to take readings and

process data in ELISAs.

The MR-96 adopts the touch screen which is comfortable to operate.

With the advanced high speed microprocessor and man-machine conversation design on

the software, the MR-96 makes the operation easier and more convenient, result calculation

faster and waiting time of operator much shorter.

2. Technical Specifications

1) Wavelength: Accuracy (±2nm), Half width (≤12nm), Waveform coefficient (≤1.5).

2) Wavelength range: 405 nm, 450 nm, 492 nm, 630nm. Additional 4 free positions for optional

filters

V. Notes on Replacing Key Parts

1. Replacing the lamp

1) After replacing the lamp, you should clean it, lock the retaining nuts and adjust W201 to set the

lamp voltage to 11.5V.

2) When adjusting the reading range, touch the Date and Time button and enter “985”, then

exit. Open the “985” menu and adjust W103 to set the voltage of four channels to 0.4V - 1.24V.

2. Replacing the filter

When replacing the filter, you should proceed with a pair of tweezers to prevent from dust and

moisture. Open the “985” menu and adjust the attenuator to set the voltage of four channels to

0.4V - 1.24V.

3. Replacing the main circuit board

After replacing the main circuit board, you should

1) Adjust W201 to set the voltage of the lamp to 11.3V - 11.5V.

2) Open the “985” menu and adjust W103 to set the voltage of four channels to 0.4V - 1.24V.

4. Replacing the photoelectric conversion board

After replacing the photoelectric conversion board, you should adjust the reading range. Open

the “985” menu and adjust W103 to set the voltage of four channels to 0.4V - 1.24V, or

reconfigure a filter.

VI. Precautions on Use

1. The power supply should comply with requirements of the device. A regulated power supply or

an UPS should be added as you need to avoid unstable results and system down.

2. The device should be free of direct sunlight and dust. Keep good ventilation and add a dust

shield as needed.

3. For the sake of the lamp’s lifespan, you should wait for more than 10 minutes to avoid

unreliable results after turning on the lamp. Moreover, the interval between turning on/off the

lamp should be longer than 5 minutes, otherwise the lamp will probably be damaged.

4. When starting up the device everyday, you should check the filters before measuring. The

MR-96 reads the air blank absorbance of each filter in the 8 channels, which is used to check

the photometric system. The default absorbance of the 405 - 630 filters is less than 0.500.

However, it may increase gradually in the result of dust, humidification and moldiness when

the device has been used for a long time. If the absorbance is greater than 1.000, you should

clean the photometric system or replace the accessories like the filters.

5. During operation, pay much attention to the patient serum and waste. Every department

should be disinfected every day as they could.

6. You are obligated to observe your local or national guidelines for biohazard waste disposal.

VII. Maintenance

The MR-96 Microplate Reader is a precision optical measuring system. Therefore, it’s

necessary to perform the daily maintenance, which includes:

1) Keeping the operating environment dry and clean. Covering the sample compartment after

using to prevent from dust.

2) Keeping the mechanical and electrical parts of the device away from water and reagent.

3) Switching off the power supply while cleaning the surface and screen of the device. Be sure

to use soft cloth with non-corrosive detergent.
