ABSTRACT
Flood disaster is a natural disaster that cannot be avoided. The easiest way to detect flooding is
the river water level discharge, the gatekeeper officer will open the floodgates is a flood is
detected. We need an automation system so that we can anticipate flood disasters. Floodect is an
integrated SMS and servo motor flood detection system tool. This tool consists of arduino uno
R3 Microcontroller, HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor, Buzzer, Warning LED lights and GSM SIM
800L Module. The working principle of this tool is shoot ultrasonic waves can open automatic
flood gates and inform to related departments when the water level reaches a danger point. It is
expected that this tool can facilitate detection of floods from the start so that there will be no
more casualties or cripple the economy of the surrounding residents.
