PLC Meeting 11/13

Data Review
 8 day or older list: Barger and Ries (first time all year)
 Alarm and Approaching Alarm students, looked at numbers

Call #7 (after SS CBA)

 Catch up on whatever you need to catch up on with those calls
 Address Tier II stuff
 Time allowing, do goal setting with students

Truancy
 Get truancy IA report on Monday -- decide if they should get a letter or not, then update John
with why they aren't supposed to get a letter
 Will update this each PLC
 Talked through students who should and should not receive a letter to let John know, typed it
out and Sarah will handle it from here

CBA Progress for ELA

 As of yesterday, 122 had completed the CBA
 1st question (main idea): 79 correct, 11 wrong, 10 no answer
o No answer means that they didn't hit "submit"
 2nd question: 10 wrong
 3rd question: 10 wrong
 4th question (capitalization): 26 wrong
 5th question (pronouns): 1 wrong
 Carrots (major concerns): Emily Gordon (getting an IEP), Jaylin Cole (speech)

Upcoming Biweekly Calls

 Wrap up BookMe conversations #5
 Start #6, Social Studies CBA
 #7 will be flexible, finish up what you need to finish up
 Science CBA (call #8) will fall before and after Winter Break

Nearpod
 If you choose to do a student-paced lesson, make sure you monitor it if you use collaboration
boards to make sure you catch it if kids post something inappropriate

Book Me
 Talked about blocking off breaks and teacher PD days so kids can't book you on those days
 Together drafted a webmail to send to families about YouCanBookMe to give them more
information

Next Week
 Short week, WAH all three days. Team vote -- cancel PLC, perhaps use that time for grading
(block it off?)

Tier II Progress, Student Needs

 SH -- Blanchard's HR, was living with step mom and dad, now living with mom (who is now
on the account); Mom let Blanchard know she wasn't getting the support she needed, but
now CT is going to support her and is reaching out about ST redoing things
 PD -- Barger's HR, doesn't have support at home and is rushing through everything and not
focusing on learning; CT talked to Tews but not much is changing; goofs off in LL and at
home instead of doing school; might need to refer to Kaylee
 BK -- Barger's HR, difficult home situation (switches between bio mom and dad, doesn't get
support from bio mom, at bio dad's his step mom's attention is split between 3-4 kids), is low
due to truancy issues in the past, needs more support
 SG -- Barger's HR, needs a bit more support from teachers, parents at home aren't fully on
top of things and they have a few students
 JA -- Counseller's HR, not doing anything, very difficult to get a hold of
 RW -- Counseller's HR, had an IEP eval, they won't get it, trying to make excuses for ST
failing, they aren't doing what they need to do to be successful
 NL -- Counseller's HR, finally got a computer
 LJ -- Counseller's HR, wasn't doing work
 ML -- Counseller's HR, low academically
 MA -- Counseller's HR, goes to religious studies each day, always has excuses
 JS -- Anne's HR, very inconsistent, answered one biweekly call on time but the rest she is in
3-in-7, eventually gets a hold of them; Mom was texting back consistently but hasn't lately; in
truancy
 SG -- Anne's HR
 JA -- Anne's HR, working with Anne and Kaylee; has been webmailing with Sarah but she
keeps telling them to focus on other classes that she's failing
