To Whom it May Concern:

I was Nicole Fisher’s cooperating teacher for her student teaching assignment during the Fall, 2018
semester. Nicole completed sixteen weeks of student teaching in second grade under my supervision.
During this time she taught all academic areas incorporating a variety of activities for all skill levels.

During Nicole’s student teaching experience, she was highly motivated to learn as much as she could
and perform to the best of her ability. She frequently put in long hours to develop lesson plans and
monitor student progress. She asked for feedback on a daily basis and was willing to go above and
beyond with any task.

Nicole has several strengths, but her main strength, from my observations, is her ability to work closely
with the students. She was always sincerely interested in her students’ progress and encouraged them
to try their best in every activity. She presented new material in a way that captured their attention.
Nicole consistently displayed this type of creativity in planning lessons and motivating students. She was
always researching and bringing new ideas into the classroom for the concepts being taught. She quickly
learned that the best way to manage a classroom is to keep students on-task with projects that were
both interesting and challenging. She also did a wonderful job of recognizing when a student needed
special assistance or attention and sought additional resources whenever needed.

In summary, NIcole displayed the qualities that make a teacher successful. She is dependable,
motivated, and compassionate when it comes to the needs of her students. She works well with
colleagues and administration and is able to learn from those around her. She would make a wonderful
addition to any school district and I highly recommend her for a teaching position.
