Complete Land Survey and marking out of Gridlines (Old and New) In Stillorgan Shopping Centre
Sequence of Work
The engineer will investigate the site in preparation for carrying out the survey works. He will
assess the site for hazards and take adequate precautions.
Survey control points will be established on and surrounding the site. If permanent ground
marks such as road nails are required then the engineer will scan the area for underground
services and establish that the area is clear. Services drawings if available, will be referred to.
Survey equipment will be set up over established control marks and data will be collected or
set out as required. Internal checks will be made on site to confirm the required accuracies
are met. All survey control observations will be recorded manually and electronically.
The minimum PPE of Hi-Vis, Helmet, steel toe cap boots, gloves and glasses will be worn at
all times.
The Engineer will have an assistant with him throughout the works.
The survey will be carried out in such a way so as not to prohibit the smooth flow of traffic
around the site.
All control observation will be booked down in the surveying for record purposes and
analysis in the event of control purposes. The surveying book will be photocopied on return
to the office and the copies placed in the Job folder.
Extra care will be taken when accessing the roof level to complete level survey and marking
out of Gridlines
Once survey is complete all equipment will be taken off-site in a safe manner.
