Speaker Project

By: Bradley Buchmiller

Period 4
My Research and Design Process
While I was looking at different types of speakers I came across a speaker with that was
made out of a suitcase, so I got the idea to make a easily portable speaker. I used my
sisters old vintage london suitcase to be the body of the speaker. The speakers I used were
a two 3 inch woofers, one 4 inch woofer, and a 2.5 inch tweeter. The 4 inch speaker was
placed on the back of the suitcase for more surround sound. The original idea was to make
it battery powered, but it would have taken much longer to do so I scrapped the idea.
Project Diagram in Sketchup
I decided to use sketchup for the drawing because it was a simple design and
didn’t need a lot of detail. (The drawing shows two 4 inch speakers and no tweeter
because I changed plans last second).
