Based on the hypothesis stated, state the dependent variable and the independent variable. Explain how the data for the dependent variable can be obtained and a suitable statistical test to verify the hypothesis. [Total: 5 marks] QUESTION 3 A researcher is interested in identifying the association between the gender of students and their preferred learning styles (visual or auditory) among Secondary Three students in the district of Segamat. The researcher obtained the list of schools in the state from the State Education Department and is interested to generalise the findings of the research to all schools in the district. She carried out a simple survey using a leaming styles questionnaire. The researcher conducted the survey in 3 out of the 7 secondary schools in the district. a.
