Period-5TH

Topics to be covered:- Introduction of conditions of TIR, Phenomenon based on it.

Class Time Required:- Approximately 35 to 40 minutes, depending on student’s queries, problem

solving and calculation skill.

Intoduction:- (Students will Answer the following questions)-

(i) What happens when the light rays undergoes from one medium to another medium.

(ii) What results we will get when light rays undergoes from rarer to denser medium.

(iii) What results we will get when light rays undergoes from denser to rarer medium.

(iv) What is the possibility that we will get refraction angle 900..

Prerequisite Knowledge and Skills:-

Students are familiar about reflection and refraction from various mediums and the concept of refractive

index and its variation with medium.

Learning Objectives:-

i) To develop scientific skill.

ii) To explain the importance TIR.
iii) To explain the HISTORICAL VISION OF TIR.
iv) To develop logical and thinking power of the Students.
v) To acquire knowledge & understanding of the terms, symbols & concepts of physics.

Teaching Aids Used:- Class room teaching aids, laser pointer optical media.
