Global Alliance of NGOs tor Road Safety . Grant agreement ‘The Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety is pleased to offer a grant USD 500 to support you and your organization to implement your Action plan as presented in your Alliance Advocate proposal for data collection and advocacy planning for Safer school zone project in your country. This grant agreement describes the mutual commitments and responsibilities of the Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety and Women & Child Welfare Society and Minati Bindhani. The conditions of this agreement are set forth below: 1. The purpose of the project: Assess and collect baseline data on school zone road safety situation using focus group discussion, key informant interviews, observation and iRAP school assessment method and to design an advocacy plan ‘or improvement of the school zone to minimum 3 stars by November 2019. 2. Amount and time period: The Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety agrees to grant USD 500 to support the Alliance Advocate Minati Bindhani, to carry out the activities described in the Project Proposal and deliver the project ‘outputs within the stipulated project period of two Months: December 10 2038 to February 15 2019. 3. Obligations: 3.1The Alliance will give technical support when required and will make available to the Advocate, data collection tools, reporting templates and online resources. 3.2The Alliance Advocate agrees to expend the funds granted, in accordance with the agreed budget and project of activities, 3.3The Alliance Advocate agrees to make periodic progress reporting and if required to submit a final report, as may be requested by the Global Alliance, 3.4If the Alliance Advocate fails to meet the obligations set forth in this agreement they commit to pay the Global ‘Aliance, all the refundable casts at the time of abrogation. 4. Deliverables: The Alliance Advocate agrees to carry out the following activities: 4.1Select a high risk school and give reason why the school was selected. 4.2Gather information about road safety situation within the school environment using focus group discussion, key informant interviews and records/literature research. 4.3Carty out risk mapping for the school route used by the school children and identify a minimum of five unsafe locations (data points) along a given stretch of the main road designated as school zone. 4.4Conduct surveys by collecting images and recording road features at each data point using the Star Rating for ‘Schools tool fotiowing the process outlined in the coding form and in conjunction with the IRAP Coding Manual. 4.5Send a report of the findings to the Aliance for quality essurence review. 4.61dentify local interventions or key improvements supported by the data that the Advocate is going to push for in the year 2019 around the school road environment. 4.7Create and share with the Alliance a draft advocacy plan the Advocate proposes to follow in order to encourage interventions that will reduce risk and save lives and serious injuries within the school zone.
