Amelia Anne Harper - Aasimar Death Cleric

Lawful Neutral

Born in a small farming village and lived there until adulthood with her family.
Her family was often very divided. Her mother's side of the family was heavily
religious while her father's
was quite the opposite. There were a number of deities worshipped in the family,
but the most prominent one,
and Amelia's own patron, was Ravnoteza, Goddess of Life Essence and Equilibrium.
Many dark practices and
rituals were carried out by the family which led them to be shunned by the village.
All of the town's problems
were blamed on the family and they were called witches and warlocks by many. The
last straw was when her young
cousin on her father's side passed away from an illness. Her uncle believed it was
their doing, and when her
father continued to defend his family, his brother murdered him, and proceeded to
burn down the temple with
support from other village members. In this assault, most of her family perished,
including her mother and
sister. The only other survivors were her aunt and her brother. Her aunt Maveline
was captured and put in a
prison in a larger city. Her brother Revus had completely abandoned the family just
days before the attack and
revoked himself of all dedication and worship to Ravnoteza. He tried to persuade
Amelia and their other sister
Anya to join him but when they refused he threatened to kill them if he ever saw
them again.

Ravnoteza - Goddess of Life Essence and Equilibrium

Chaotic Neutral

Ravnoteza is a minor, mostly forgotten Goddess of ancient times. Her followers are
very important to her and wants them
to prosper and gain power, although there are few, especially among the major
races. Dwarven, Gnome, and High Elf
worshippers are pretty much unheard of. Followers are more commonly found among
tieflings, lizardfolk as well as some of
the more obscure elven subraces. Many fae creatures, shapeshifters, undead and even
some goblinoids also worship her.
There are a few basic expectations she has for her followers:
- take action and explore freedom rather than constant praying and dedication all
the time,
although that is still important as well
- spread her influence with whatever means necessary
- with every life that is saved, a life should be taken, and vice versa
