Bachelor of Vocational (B.Voc.) in Solar Energy
(Self Finance Mode)
Applications are invited for admission to 3 years Bachelor of Vocational (B.Voc. in
Solar Energy Course, for the academic session 2018-19 in Self Finance Mode. The
course will run in the Department of Physics, New Delhi, under the DDU Kaushal
Kendra, Jamia Millia Islamia.
The course aims at providing the graduates of higher education system to have
adequate knowledge and skills for employment and entrepreneurship and to also
fulfil the emerging needs of the rapidly growing economy.
The course aims to incorporate the requirements of various industries in the Solar
Energy sector with specific job roles in its curriculum in an innovative and flexible
manner.
The B.Voc. in Solar Energy course therefore also provides an opportunity of exiting
the course after completing 1 year with a Diploma (having NSQF Level 5), after
completing 2 years with an Advance Diploma (having NSQF Level 6) and after
completing the 3 years with Bachelor of Vocational Degree (having NSQF Level 7).
The candidates belonging to the following category will be eligible for admission in
the B.Voc. in Solar Energy Course:
Category 1: Students who have already acquired NSQF certification level 4 in the
industry sector belonging to Solar Energy.
Category 2: Students who have acquired NSQF certification level 4 but may like to
change their sector and pursue Vocational Course in Solar Energy.
Category 3: Students who have passed 10+2 level examination (or equivalent)
without any background of vocational training. Such students must have secured at
least overall 50% marks at the 10+2 (or equivalent) level. Besides, they must have
also secured at least 50% marks in Physics and Mathematics separately at the
10+2 (or equivalent) level. There are a total of 45 seats in the course. The total
annual fee of the course will be (Approx.) Rupees Forty Four Thousand Eight
Hundred Only (Rs. 44,800/=).
The admission will be through an Entrance Test. The candidates are advised to
visit the J.M.I website regularly for the latest updates. All other conditions for
granting admission in Jamia Millia Islamia will remain same as mentioned in the
