JUNIOR PHILIPPINE INSTITUTE OF ACCOUNTANTS

University of Southern Mindanao

Kabacan, Cotabato

January ___, 2019

Dr. Francisco Gil N. Garcia
SUC President IV
University of Southern Mindanao, Kabacan, Cotabato

Dear Sir:

Greetings of goodwill!

Effectivity of (R.A. 10931) “Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act of 2017” meant free
public tertiary education for all the qualified students. And as per Sec.11 of the R.A. it is unlawful for
any, person, SUC and state-run TVI to collect tuition and other school fees from the qualified
students who voluntarily opt out to make contributions. Relatively, USM strictly adheres to the law
and impose No Collection Policy in the university.

In line with this, our accredited organization, Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA-USM)
having a very limited source of fund, would like to request for the transfer of our society fee for the
1st and 2nd Semester of S.Y 2017-2018 and for the 1st Semester of S.Y 2018-2019 to our USMECCO
account (15-0460). As per registrar record, there were 132 students enrolled in Accountancy and
Accounting Technology during the 1st and 2nd Semester of S.Y 2017-2018. In the 1 st Semester of S.Y
2018-2019, there are 280 students enrolled in Accountancy, Accounting Technology and
Management Accounting programs of the Accountancy Department in the College of Business,
Development Economics and Management.

We hope to be delighted by your approval and support to the JPIA Society.

Thank you and more power!

Sincerely,

Vina Casandra R. Comighud
