In a perfect world there would be enough food and water for everyone. Unfortunately this

is not anywhere near a perfect world. The only way to make it better is by allowing children to

have a quality education and contribute to solving other problems, which is why this is the most

important of the UN 17 goals. “When people are able to get quality education they can break

form the cycle of poverty” (“Education - United Nations Sustainable Development.”). World wide

over 617 million children don’t have a basic math and literature education (“Education - United

Nations Sustainable Development.”). When the future of earth is in the hands of children, how can

anyone do anything when they are poor. The answer is they can’t but they would be able to if

they had an education. With an education these children could solve major problems to make

earth a better place.. Areas with high rates of crime, war, and disease have a higher rate of

illiteracy. Roughly 50% of kids out of school are in these areas. When these kids aren’t getting

an education, they can’t correctly solve major world problems. Most people would think that

91% of children in developed countries being in school would be a good thing. While it is a high

number that still leaves roughly 57 million kids out of school. That is 57 million lives that could

be better if they had an education(“Education - United Nations Sustainable Development.”). There are

many problems with this world, but the first step to solving them is to give anyone and everyone

a chance to help with an education. All of these reasons contribute to the fact that this is the most

important of the UN’s 17 goals.
